Bane NOR needs to

Bane NOR needs to be able to exchange the orthogonal distance from track center to a lock cabinet serving switches with fully or partially manual locking. The distance should be given in meters, preferably with decimeter accuracy.

Current need is planned to be achieved by use of a Norwegian extension to railML2.4. Then need will shortly apply to railML3.2 as well.

We suggest to introduce a new attribute lock@trackDist inspired by the railML2.x attribute signal@trackDist.

Dear Morten,

thank you for your contribution. I updated the solution proposal for <lock> in Trac ticket #428 [1] accordingly. The new attribute <lock>@trackDist (tLengthM) has been added in the schema files for upcoming railML 2.5.
